Did you know that bad posture can lead to chronic illness and musculoskeletal disorders?
These exercises are easy to do at home and can help you feel more confident and comfortable in your body.
1. Try doing shoulder shrugs. It's important that you don't do this too aggressively, but just enough to get your shoulders moving up and down. Do 10-15 reps per set, and repeat 2-3 times per day.
2. Try side bends. Stand with your feet together, then bend over to one side as far as you can go without straining yourself—this will help strengthen your oblique muscles and improve posture by helping you stand up taller. Do 10-15 reps per set, and repeat 2-3 times per day.
3. Try pelvic tilts: Lie on the floor on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor about hip distance apart, then slowly tilt your pelvis forward until you feel it move toward your chest, then slowly lower it back down again—do this 20 times per set (10 on each side), with 2 sets per day.
